Zak’s HydraTrak Bottle Wins International Design Award

Zak Designs’ patented HydraTrak water bottle has won a Home Style Award from the International Forum Design. Spokane, The award was presented during a ceremony in Shanghai organized by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd.

Building on the success of its iF Award that has become one of the world’s key design awards since it was first presented in 1953, the International Forum Design established the Home Style Award in 2008 as a way to showcase innovation and product design in the housewares industry. This year, 226 products were submitted from 19 countries and award winners were chosen by a jury of six design experts from around the world based on criteria including aesthetics, execution, safety, innovation, environmental impact and others.  

“We are extremely grateful to receive this award from such a prominent design institution,” said Irv Zakheim, chairman and CEO of Zak Designs. “The HydraTrak bottle is a product that we are incredibly proud of and one that we think everyone around the world can benefit from, so to have its design recognized by the international community in such a prestigious way is a tremendous honor for us.”

Zak’s HydraTrak water bottle was designed as a simple and effective way for people to keep track of their daily water intake. By simply sliding one of the colorful silicone bands up to the top of the bottle each time it’s refilled, the HydraTrak bottle makes it easy to stay properly hydrated as part of a healthy lifestyle. And because it can be washed and reused, the HydraTrak is a healthier option for the environment than disposable bottles that may end up in oceans and landfills.
