Wüsthof-Trident of America Launches Redesigned Website for U.S. Market

Wüsthof, the premier cutlery brand coveted by professional chefs and avid home cooks, has unveiled its newly redesigned website for the U.S. market, www.wusthof.com. Strategically re-imagined to fully engage consumers with the brand, as well as motivate first-time knife shoppers to choose Wüsthof, the updated site sports an arrestingly modern design, appealing images, dynamic, media-rich content that informs and educates, and intuitive navigation. Additionally, the responsive Web design ensures that the site looks beautiful on any size display, including mobile and tablet.

“We’re thrilled to announce our completely revamped website, which is now dedicated to the U.S. market,” said Annette Garaghty, vice president of sales and marketing at Wüsthof-Trident of America Inc. “Our goal was to create a best-in-class site that differentiates our brand from competitors, and reflects our position as a category leader. In addition to this achievement, we’ve now created a welcoming and engaging resource for cutlery enthusiasts. We believe the site will provide great value to our consumers and retail customers for years to come.”

Among the numerous enhancements and content additions, www.wusthof.com now integrates the brand’s highly successful “defining the Edgë” marketing campaign content, which was formerly accessible on a separate microsite. Launched in 2012, the successful campaign features recipe-oriented, instructional chef videos and other engaging content from nine cutting-edge culinary professionals who reflect the brand’s passion for excellence, and exceptional drive to rise above the status quo.

To inform and educate consumers on Wüsthof’s rich heritage, as well as how to confidently choose the right knife, and how to properly use, sharpen, store, and otherwise care for quality cutlery, the redesigned site offers extensive resources, including the following:

Our Story: New to this page is a highly creative and evocative factory video, “The Birth of a Knife,” which exhibits the beauty and brawn behind the craftsmanship of every Wüsthof knife. Appropriately, the captivating footage of skilled knife makers and state-of-the-art robots engaged in the art of knife making is set to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, First Movement, composed in 1814, the same year Wüsthof was founded in Solingen, Germany. This page also includes information about Solingen, renowned as “The City of Blades,” and distinguished by its strict quality measures for cutlery manufacturing.

Knife Skills Academy: The new Knife Skills page provides a range of educational tools, such as a visual anatomy of a knife and a step-by-step guide on how to hold a knife. The Academy also offers 12 new tutorial videos from the company’s executive chef, Michael Garaghty (aka Chef Mike), covering many essential knife skills and cutting techniques. This dynamic page will be continuously updated with new videos and educational information pertaining to knife skills.

The Wüsthof Knife Finder: This new online tool guides consumers in finding the right knife for any task. In addition to highlighting the basic knives for a well-equipped kitchen, the Knife Finder explains different knife blade edges, such as straight, serrated and hollow, along with their unique benefits.

Product Pages: Visually appealing and easy to navigate, the updated Wüsthof product page allows consumers to browse by line or product type. Additionally, the new Line Comparison feature lets consumers compare knife lines to determine which one best suits their needs.

Store Locator: On the site’s enhanced “Where to Buy” section, consumers can search for stores within a specified distance of a zip code and view them on an interactive map. Consumers can also be redirected to online retailers by clicking on updated links on the page.

Wüsthof Community Page: This new feature allows customers to easily stay up-to-date with the latest Wüsthof news.

Social Media: Through highly visible links throughout the site, brand enthusiasts can follow Wüsthof on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, Pinterest and Instagram.

Wüsthof’s expertly curated and immersive site will be continuously updated with new videos, chef recipes, new product and company news to remain dynamic and relevant to both consumers and retail customers.
