NEW YORK, Sept. 22, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/-- Trentodoc is the most awarded Italian Classic Method sparkling wine receiving 69 medals - 22 gold and 47 silver medals - at the 2021 edition of The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC), the prestigious international competition dedicated to sparkling wine. Its Founder and President, Tom Stevenson, comments, "Trentodoc not only outperforms all Italian sparkling wines, but all sparkling wine regions in the world with the single exception of Champagne".

Among the 69 wines awarded, all the categories of Trentodoc were included - Non-Vintage which requires a minimum of 15 months aging on the lees, while the Millesimato requires a minimum of 24 months. The Riserva ages on the lees for minimum 36 months, however all wineries opt for a longer aging, and thanks to a great terroir and the winemakers' expertise, the result is a great sparkling wine in the glass.
The noticeable elevation and the mountain landscape, two main features of Trentodoc, represent also a great source for climate change: 70% of the region is located above 3,280 feet above sea level, 20% above 6,560 and there are 94 mountain peaks that exceed 9,842 feet. This special position will allow it to increase vineyards' altitude when needed, while retaining the product's quality.
Produced at altitudes of up to 900 meters above sea level, Trentodoc was the first Classic Method sparkling wine to obtain DOC status in Italy and among the first in the world.
