SooFoo Wins People’s Choice Award for Top Food Trends

San Francisco-based SooFoo was named the People’s Choice winner during the 2013 Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo in Los Angeles. The packaged blend of organic and non-GMO rice, grains, and lentils was named a winner during the Expo’s inaugural Food Trends Experience tasting adventure.

Competing among more than 50 other exhibitors, SooFoo was voted as the top food trend by thousands of restaurant and foodservice professionals in attendance. Each voter had the opportunity to see and taste the culinary innovations that are pushing the current trends.

For SooFoo, the People’s Choice award represents an acknowledgment by industry professionals that the brand has earned its place on today’s healthy, fresh and creative menus.

SooFoo is generally offered directly to consumers on grocery shelves in 6-ounce and 16-ounce packages, but it is also available to industry accounts in 25-pound bulk bags. According to the company, many specialty retailers are adding SooFoo to their prepared foods sections.

SooFoo’s blends of USDA Organic certified and Non-GMO Project verified grains and lentils feature only whole foods and natural seasonings. SooFoo is available in four varieties – Original (unseasoned); Hint of Curry; Garlic and Herb; and Moroccan Medley. All SooFoo products are grown and packaged exclusively in the United States and are vegan and kosher-certified.
