Smith’s Consumer Products Inc., a leading global supplier of consumer goods to the sporting goods, hardware, and housewares markets, is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year.
Beginning in March, the company will host a variety of social media contests and giveaways to help celebrate this milestone. Consumers will be offered the opportunity to win an assortment of Smith’s and KitchenIQ products.
In addition to celebrating this historic occasion, the company is continuing to invest in its home state of Arkansas by increasing production in its Hot Springs facility. Smith’s recently introduced two items that are primarily American made and assembled in Arkansas under the Smith’s Housewares brand available. Smith’s will add three additional items this year that are manufactured and assembled in Arkansas — two round ceramic rods and a new twist on the iconic and bestselling pull-over style knife sharpener. Additional products are planned.
“We are so proud to be celebrating this extraordinary anniversary,” stated Beau Parker, CEO of Smith’s Consumer Products. “In addition, we’re thrilled about the continued growth of our U.S. production as well as the investment in our home state of Arkansas. We are committed to providing quality products to consumers at the best value possible. Our team is exploring options that will allow us to continue to do so out of our centrally located facility in Hot Springs. ”
Smith’s Consumer Products markets its full line of sharpeners and specialized tools under the brands Smith’s, Kitchen IQ and Fire Wire. Founded in 1886, Smith’s reputation for innovation and quality is built on 130 years of designing products of great value to its retail partners and consumers.
