Sheila G’s Original Brownie Brittle partnered with The Weinstein Co. to be the official dessert of the company’s annual Golden Globe dinner and after-party on Jan. 13.
The partnership kicked off in November with the premieres of the film “Silver Linings Playbook” in New York and Los Angeles.
Sheila G. Mains, Brownie Brittle’s founder, created specialty brownies and champagne brownie truffles for the events. The Weinstein Co. led this year’s Golden Globe nominations with 15, in various categories, for “Django Unchained,” “Silver Linings Playbook,” “The Master,” “Kon-Tiki,” “Quartet” and “The Intouchables.”
“I am honored to create special sweets for such prestigious award events,” said Mains. “Each party [had] only the best chocolate delights to celebrate such amazing films.”
Sheila G’s Original Brownie Brittle was named “Best New Snack Product” by the National Confectionery Sales Association in 2012. Additionally, Brownie Brittle has been recognized as a National Confectioners Association’s 2012 Most Innovative Products award finalist, and winner of the Best Cookie Award at the 2011 Festival of Chocolate.
