Santé Specialty Foods of Santa Clara, Calif., announced an expanded agreement with Tony’s Fine Foods, the largest privately owned distributor of deli, bakery, foodservice, specialty and perishable products in Northern California, which will allow Tony’s to distribute all nine flavors of Santé Nuts in the 4-ounce and 5-ounce packages to California, Hawaii, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
Additionally, Santé signed with Carmela Foods, a specialty food and fine wine distributor servicing independent specialty food retailers, restaurants, country clubs, hotels and resorts throughout the state of Michigan and northern Ohio. Carmela Foods will offer all flavors of Santé Nuts as well as 10-pound bulk bags of the Cardamom Cashews, Candied Walnuts, Garlic Almonds, and Sweet & Spicy Pecans for foodservice.
“Our customer demand has been growing by leaps and bounds, particularly along the West Coast,” said Navot Tidhar, Santé’s director of sales. “We have been very happy with Tony’s representing our bulk product and are looking forward to having them help us expand to more retailers in the Western U.S. The Midwest is a new territory for us, so we are pleased to be partnering with Carmela Foods in this region.”
Santé will also participate in the Sweets & Snacks Expo for the first time May 20-22 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Sweets & Snacks Expo is the largest confectionery and snack trade show in North America, representing a substantial portion of the more than $330 billion worldwide confectionery and snack market.
