Robert Macey Named Executive Chef for Hearthware

Chef Robert Macey has joined Hearthware Inc. as the housewares company’s executive chef. Macey will be responsible for developing and testing recipes for the NuWave Precision Induction Cooktop 2 and the NuWave Pro Infrared Oven, the company’s countertop oven that combines infrared, conduction and convection heat to accelerate the cooking process.

He will also appear in online instructional video segments demonstrating recipes using the NuWave Oven and NuWave Precision Induction Cooktop 2, and will engage NuWave enthusiasts on social media channels by answering questions and providing cooking tips.

Macey has more than 25 years of experience as a chef, consultant, restaurateur and culinary instructor. He has worked at the four-star restaurant, Charlie Trotter’s Restaurant in Chicago, and three-star restaurants Le Titi De Paris and 1776. Macey opened and ran his own restaurant, Harvest Moon Café, which earned Four Forks from the Chicago Tribune and Two Stars from Chicago Magazine. He has also served as the corporate chef in culinary service/sales at Cuisine Solutions Inc., where he hosted sales presentations to national foodservice, hotel and restaurant clients, and was also a culinary instructor at Elgin Community College and Kendall College in Chicago.

Most recently, he was a culinary consultant and catering chef at Brazen Enterprises, where he specialized in foodservice facility design and layout. Macey has degrees from the Culinary Institute of America and the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Ill.
