The Beverage Testing Institute, founded in 1981 with the objective of producing fair and impartial wine reviews for consumers, has recognized Powell & Mahoney’s Sriracha Bloody Mary, Jalapeño Margarita and Peach Bellini cocktail mixers for their excellence, all of which also received honors at the Los Angeles International Spirits Competition last year.
The Beverage Testing Institute awarded Powell & Mahoney’s Sriracha Bloody Mary mixer a rating of 92 points, an international review of spirits award Gold Medal and Best Buy award. It praised the mixer’s “rich, savory, attractive aromas and flavors of ginger tomato soup, roasted garlic, grilled onions, and sriracha sauce.”
Powell & Mahoney’s Jalapeño Margarita mixer received a rating of 90 points, an international review of spirits award Gold Medal and Best Buy award, as well. The Institute calls it “a fun, peppery margarita” with “bold aromas and flavors of roasted jalapeño, grilled lime, fig bread, and squash.”
Powell & Mahoney’s Peach Bellini mixer was granted a rating of 89 points, an international review of spirits award Silver Medal and Best Buy award. The Institute highly recommended the mixer based on its “lively, attractive aromas and flavors of fresh baked peach pie with a soft, bright, petillant, fruity light.”
In addition to the award-winning mixers, the Powell & Mahoney line also offers Bloody Mary, Chipotle Bloody Mary, Blood Orange, Cosmopolitan, Old Ballycastle Ginger, Hot Toddy, Lemon Sour Mix, Low Cal Margarita, Mango Passion Fruit Margarita, Margarita, Mojito and Pomegranate. Each mixer bottle features three of master mixologist Tad Carducci’s cocktail recipes.
