Peet’s Coffee & Tea has rolled out a new line of prepared foods including sandwiches, salads and snacks, which now accompany its full line of artisanal bakery items.
New menu items include vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available in the chain’s 126 stores in Northern California, according to the Sacramento Busy Bee, which noted that the menu was developed by chef Arnold Wong, co-owner of the family-run Raison D’être bakery in South San Francisco. Prices for the new fare range from $3 to $7.
Sandwiches include herb-roasted turkey with Monterey Jack cheese and pumpkin seed pesto aioli and applewood-smoked ham with Swiss cheese and roasted garlic aioli. Salads include super greens and kale with feta cheese and fig-balsamic vinaigrette, black lentil salad with feta and red wine vinaigrette, and rainbow quinoa salad with chickpeas, roasted red peppers and herb vinaigrette. A cheese box includes Irish Cheddar, Monterey Pepper Jack and Danish Brie with apples, roasted almonds and organic rice crackers. Other fare includes hummus with carrot chips and fresh fruit bowls.
