IMUSA’s new GlobalKitchen line – inspired by celebrity chef ambassadors Aarón Sánchez, Michelle Bernstein and George Duran – debuted this month at Target.com and will be in stores nationwide in March 2015.
Featuring cookware and appliances that cater to the growing demand for authentic ethnic products, the collection includes four ethnic product categories – Mexican, Mediterranean, Asian and Caribbean – with specialty cookware ranging from paella pans to calderos, woks, bean pots, tostoneras and more.
The chef ambassadors contributed to the design aesthetic and functionality behind the products in the line, drawing inspiration from their own personal cultural and culinary perspectives to ensure that the products will be practical in every home cook’s kitchen, according to IMUSA.
Through GlobalKitchen, IMUSA aims to provide consumers easy accessibility to versatile, authentic products such as a Caribbean “caldero” or the Mexican-inspired Mortar & Pestle, or “molcajete.”
Sánchez is known to “transform the familiar” with his take on Latin favorites. In addition to being an avid restaurateur, he also co-stars on the Food Network’s “Chopped” and FOX Life’s “Aarón Loves NY.”
Bernstein, a Miami native of Jewish and Latin descent, has wooed the culinary world with her unique approach to cooking, integrating flavorful ingredients into her soulful dishes. Bernstein penned “Cuisine a Latina,” and regularly appears as a judge on Bravo’s award-winning show, “Top Chef.”
Duran blends South American cuisines with French and Armenian flavors, creating eclectic dishes. Duran created and hosts the Food Network’s popular “Ham on the Street” show. Since then, he has written “Take this Dish and Twist It,” and hosted TLC’s “Ultimate Cake Off.”
