Fiesta Dinnerware Retires Slate To Make Way For New 2023 Color

Newell, West Virginia – (NOVEMBER 21, 2022)– Fiesta® Dinnerware is retiring the color Slate from its lineup of 14 full-time signature colors. 

The new color for 2023 and other new items will be announced on January 10, 2023, on the first day of Atlanta Market at AmericasMart®. Fiesta Dinnerware, the colorful and iconic Made in America brand, is exhibiting in showroom #941, Building 2 on the 9th floor. 

Fiesta Dinnerware will take orders from retailers for Slate until December 31, 2022, for delivery by March 1, 2023. On March 31, 2023, Slate will be added to the “inactive availability” list of colors.

Slate is available to consumers at better department stores, independent retailers, at .coms and on www.fiestafactorydirect.com while supplies last. Current colors include: White, Peony, Scarlet, Poppy, Butterscotch, Daffodil, Sunflower, Lemongrass, Meadow, Turquoise, Lapis, Twilight, Mulberry, Slate. Ivory is available seasonally during the holidays. 

Fiesta Dinnerware originally was designed by Frederick Hurten Rhead in 1936. It was discontinued in 1973 and made a resurgence in 1986, marking the brand’s 50th anniversary and the continuation of a contemporary inspired color palette. The new color announcement in 2023 will be the 55th color in the brand’s history.  Slate was introduced in 2015, along with Sage, which retired in 2019.
