Fagor Partners With America’s Test Kitchen on Pressure Cooker Book

Fagor America, a market leader in pressure cookers and small electrics, has teamed up with “America’s Test Kitchen” to release a limited run of the “Pressure Cooker Perfection” cookbook – Fagor edition. 

Earlier this year, the public TV syndicated cooking show “America’s Test Kitchen” did a thorough testing of electric and stovetop pressure cookers in which the Fagor Duo 8-quart came out on top as “highly recommended” and the overall “best buy.” The unit is also widely used by culinary professionals, including many celebrity chefs, the Food Network and multiple contestants on Bravo’s “Top Chef,” “Master Chef” and “Iron Chef.”


This 168-page cookbook contains more than 100 recipes designed to change the overall perception of cooking with a pressure cooker. “Possibly the most comprehensive and detailed guide ever written on pressure cooking,” said Sara de la Hera, vice president – sales and marketing at Fagor, of the book. The in-depth pressure cooker book informs home cooks about everything they need to know regarding buying, using and caring for a pressure cooker.

“Pressure Cooker Perfection” includes detailed charts that give instructions for cooking rice, grains, beans and vegetables, while 100 recipes cover stews and chilis, roasts, fancy dinners, barbecue classics, one-pot pastas, and side dishes. Every recipe is accompanied by troubleshooting tips and full-color photography that walks cooks through the test kitchen process, in addition to ingredient substitutions and how to scale recipes if needed.
