Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate Moves, Opens Store

Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate, a bean-to-bar chocolate bar, celebrated the grand opening of Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate Factory and its Chocolate Boutique in Eureka, Calif., on June 6. 

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony commemorated the day, followed by a celebration with drinks, refreshments and a speech from the owner, Adam Dick. 

There were door prizes and a raffle as well as free factory tours demonstrating how chocolate is made from bean to bar. The Chocolate Boutique is selling Dick Taylor Chocolate as well as specialty confections available only at the Boutique. 

The grand opening coincided with the 17th Annual North Coast Open Studios; this is the first year artisan manufacturers participated.

Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate uses only two ingredients – cacao and cane sugar. Simple ingredients and careful control of the entire process allows the chocolatier to highlight the wonderful flavor varieties of beans from around the world. 

The company also pays premiums to the farmers who do exceptional work with superb harvest and post-harvest practices. Dick Taylor takes great care in its process to build on this foundational work, allowing people to taste chocolate that reflects its origin. 

The company has created an elegant and refined chocolate that is internationally recognized and multi-award-winning.
