Dallas Market Center Recognizes Gourmet Products

Dallas Market Center announced the winners of the fifth annual Dallas Gourmet Gold Awards at an awards ceremony and cocktail reception at The Culinary Stage, World Trade Center, during the Dallas Total Housewares & Gourmet Market.
The Dallas Gourmet Gold Awards celebrate exceptional manufacturers in the gourmet products industry who exhibit in Dallas.

The winners are:

  • Best Beverage: Fat Mama’s “Knock You Naked” Margarita Mix, Fat Mama’s Tamales.
  • Best Condiment: Fat Mama’s Fire and Ice Pickles, Fat Mama’s Tamales.
  • Best Fruit Confit: Raven’s Original Raspberry-Jalapeno Jam, Raven’s Nest Specialties.
  • Best Snack: Crunchy Pecan Popcorn, Indianola Pecan House.
  • Best Soup or Chili: Quick-Fix Cajun Mix, Cajun Blend de Jour.
  • Best Sweet: Jalapeno Pecan Brittle, Oliver Pecan Co.
  • Best Cookware or Bakeware: 10 piece Cookware Set – Chef Fabio Viviani Signature Series, Bialetti.
  • Best Kitchen Gadget: Blossom uCap Silicone Sipping Cap, Harold Import Co.
  • Best Kitchen Textile: Vintage Flax Towel and Apron Collection, Wild Hare Designs.
  • Best Small Appliance: Blendtec Designer 725, Blendtec.
  • Best Tabletop: Blossom Trivet, Harold Import Co.


Judging was based on originality, taste and packaging, as well as innovation, visual appeal and practicality. The judges were KC Lapiana, owner of In The Kitchen, a retail kitchen housewares store, and president of HTI Buying Group; Anthony Van Camp, executive chef at SER Steak+Spirits; and Chef Edgar Solis, executive chef for Levy Restaurants, leading a culinary team at Dallas Market Center responsible for daily operation, 11 major markets and 65 public trade shows.
