Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters has created a special coffee blend for The Cook’s Warehouse, which will be served to customers in the stores and will also retail in the stores.
The freshly roasted beans will retail in stores in 1-pound bags. Batdorf & Bronson has been handcrafting coffees from around the globe since 1986 from roasteries in Atlanta for the East Coast and in Olympia, Wash., for the West Coast.
The specialty blend produced for The Cook’s Warehouse is made from organic Nicaraguan beans, and is a mixture of beans roasted to medium and also to a slightly darker roast and then blended together.
Batdorf & Bronson standards are among the highest in the specialty coffee industry, putting immense effort into sourcing and roasting fresh beans for coffee and espresso enthusiasts who crave quality and consistency, and seek out special, limited-edition coffees for fans of unique complexity of flavor and aroma, according to The Cook’s Warehouse.
The company offers Certified Organic, Fair Trade Certified and Bird-Friendly, Shade Grown coffees, and works to lighten its environmental footprint through the purchase of 100 percent renewable energy.
The roaster’s Atlanta facility uses a dual-wall cast-iron drum roaster for more even heat and superior roasting – and it’s one of only a handful of such cast-iron roasters in the country, according to The Cook’s Warehouse.
Jason Dominy, Batdorf & Bronson’s Atlanta customer support and outreach coordinator, will teach a series of two-part classes for The Cook’s Warehouse. The first class will be on-site at its West Side roastery and the second class will be brewing techniques in a Cook’s Warehouse store.
Batdorf & Bronson also produces custom coffee blends for Atlanta’s finest restaurants, including Bacchanalia, Miller Union, Restaurant Eugene, its own Dancing Goats coffee shops and Atlanta Whole Foods Markets.
