Chef'sChoice Sharpener Cited by Hammacher Schlemmer Institute

The Chef’sChoice Model 130 Professional Sharpening Station earned a “The Best” rating in the 2013 electric sharpener category from the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute.

The Hammacher Schlemmer Institute analysts ran knives across a cement block 100 times and then sharpened them with each sharpening model tested. Analysts cited the “Chef’sChoice Model 130 ground edges that chopped spaghetti squash with little effort and sliced smoothly through sheets of paper.” The sharpener was lauded for producing “the sharpest, most resilient edges.”

The Chef’sChoice Model 130 “also sharpened serrated knives that cut easily through cardboard, far superior to lesser models that could not sharpen any toothed blades,” according to the Institute. And it was also cited as one of the quietest models.

This best-selling and top-rated electric knife sharpener is also critically acclaimed by America’s leading test kitchen and cooking publication, dubbed “the reigning favorite” and the “Rolls-Royce of sharpeners, with spring-loaded blade guides that make sharpening foolproof.”

Manufactured in  America, the Chef’sChoice Model 130 sharpener is available at leading department, specialty and cookware stores, sports and hardware stores, as well as through mail-order catalogs and online retailers.
