Top Chef Masters champion Rick Bayless and Top Chef “Fan Favorite” Fabio Viviani head the lineup of celebrity chefs appearing in the Cooking Theater at the 2015 International Home + Housewares Show, March 7-10 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
Also appearing this year will be Food Network chef Aarón Sánchez, “The Queen of Southern Cooking” Paula Deen, “The Pioneer Woman” Ree Drummond and James Beard Award-winner Ming Tsai.
The Cooking Theater is the focal point of Savor Home, the revitalized Gourmet Food + Specialty Products category in the Dine + Design Expo in the South Building. On hand will be exhibitors of specialty and gourmet treats, and the tools used to prepare them. The Cooking Theater is jointly sponsored by KitchenAid, Wilton Brands, Robinson Home Products and WellnessMats.
The chef demonstrations will begin on Saturday, March 7, and continue through Tuesday, March 10. Also scheduled to appear are Anupy Singla, a Chicago-based cookbook author and journalist; Mindy Segal, 2012 winner of the James Beard Foundation’s Outstanding Pastry Chef Award and owner of HotChocolate Restaurant and Dessert Bar in Chicago; Beth LaManach, star of the popular YouTube series, “Cooking With Beth”; and Tom and Patty Erd, second-generation owners of The Spice House, listed as one of Food & Wine magazine’s “Top Spice Shops in the World.”
Many of the chefs will also be doing book signings after their demonstrations.
The Savor Home section of the show features design-inspired wine accessories, gourmet food products and home entertaining themes. Nestled between Discover Design and Tabletop, smells beckon and tastes abound, where attendees will find everything from decadent chocolates to do-it-yourself home-brew kits.
Among the new exhibitors in the section are Country Home Creations, Hester + Cook Design Group, iCOOLer LLC, Indulgent Confections, MODGY, Underground Toys and Woodland Foods.
