In celebration of the Dec. 13 grand reopening of Balducci’s Food Lover’s Market in Scarsdale, N.Y., the gourmet retailer will donate a portion of the weekend’s sales to the Food Bank for Westchester.
The enhanced and larger store now provides a better shopping experience with a sweeping assortment of the finest, individually selected items. Balducci’s said it honors its reputation of exceptional food by expanding its departments to offer even more perfectly aged cheeses, expertly and responsibly sourced seafood, the finest cuts of meat, a fragrant floral department, and a brand-new epicurean hot food bar, mezze and olive bar.
Balducci’s on-premise executive chef, Sterling Smith, and his team also offer a variety of daily-prepared wholesome meals made with fresh and gourmet ingredients.
“We are proud to be a part of the Scarsdale community with its vibrancy and history,” said Judy Spires, CEO, Balducci’s Food Lover’s Markets. “By continuing to bring gourmet and locally sourced foods to the community, in addition to expanding our daily prepared chef meals, we hope to enrich the gourmet shopping experience for all food lovers.”
To celebrate the grand reopening, several events are planned, including a signature bread-cutting ceremony and tastings of several new signature offerings with Balducci’s corporate executive chefs. Also, the first 200 customers in the store will receive a free culinary gift, and on-site nutritionist Shari Boockvar of Nutrifacts for You will offer her expertise in health and wellness.
All proceeds from the weekend’s sales at the store at 15 Palmer Avenue will be donated to the Food Bank for Westchester, including a $10 donation for each new Balducci’s Rewards member sign-up.
