AMERICASMART® Continues Support Of Museum Store Association

ATLANTA – November 2, 2018 – The Museum Store Association returns to AmericasMart®with its celebrated international shopping campaign, Museum Store Sunday, setting the stage for The Museum Collective product presentation reprise at the January 2019 Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market.

The Museum Collective opens just weeks after Museum Store Sunday, for which AmericasMart will again serve as a Founding Sponsor. Set for Sunday, November 25, 2018, the annual shopping event builds on the success of its inaugural presentation in 2017 with more than 800 museum stores in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, 10 countries, and three continents offering inspired shopping at museums and cultural institutions. The initiative encourages shoppers to “Be a Patron” by shopping conscientiously and supporting museum stores and their missions during the important Thanksgiving holiday weekend. MSA received The 2018 Branding Honors for Branding/Identity for Museum Store Sunday in the 2018 ICON HONORS competition. For more information about Museum Store Sunday, visit MuseumStoreSunday.org

“When the opportunity arose to support the Museum Store Association and its Museum Store Sunday, it was immediately evident that it was the right fit for AmericasMart,” says George Kacic, executive vice president of Retail Services. “It is our responsibility and our pleasure to be a resource for the small business community, and this program continues that commitment. Museum stores support the cultural institutions that we hold so dear. Their dedication to celebrating education and innovation mirrors our organizational values.”

The Museum Collective returns as an open-to-all product resource with a merchandise mix designed both for museum-based retail and for the larger specialty retail community shopping the Atlanta January Market. It follows a successful inaugural showing in July 2018 with more exhibitors, a broader product mix, a gathering place, and meet-up opportunities for cultural institutions, non-profits and the larger retail community seeking the profit potential of museum-quality gifts. The 62nd-annual Market promises a showplace of trendsetting and in-demand lifestyle, design and fashion product presented across AmericasMart’s more than 1,400 showrooms and 3,400 temporary booths. Market attendees will find an engaging and interactive experience highlighted by new and expanded showrooms, thought leader presentations and seminars, cooking demonstrations, hospitality, and industry celebrations.

The Museum Collective will be open January 9–13, 2019. For more information, visit AmericasMart.com/January
