Additional Showrooms to Open for New York Tabletop Market

Two more companies are preparing to open Forty One Madison showrooms for the New York Tabletop Market April 12 to 15.

LSA International is a newcomer to Forty One Madison and a respected 50-year-old brand that is globally recognized for its extensive offering of mouth-blown glass, porcelain, leather, wood and enameled steel tableware and gift items. Its full array of lifestyle designs is housed in a 1,500-square-foot space on the 17th floor.

Crystalite Bohemia brings the pedigree of Czech crystal to its vast assortment of stemware, barware and giftware. With a growing presence in North America, the company is now rooted at Forty One Madison in a 1,000-square-foot showroom on the 15th floor.

“The world’s most important tabletop factories and brands are at the doorstep of every buyer who walks into Forty One Madison and the New York Tabletop Market,” said Laurie Burns, director and senior vice president, “and these two additions offer show visitors even more choice of product.”

The show will also feature a couple of special events. On April 13, Antiques Roadshow appraiser Nicholas M. Dawes headlines the breakfast seminar.

Specializing in china, glass, silver and decorative objects, he’ll provide a behind-the-scenes peek of the show, plus, as a former retailer, he’ll share advice on merchandising showmanship. Bring a small tabletop treasure and he’ll appraise it on the spot.  Seating for this 8 to 9:30 a.m. session is limited and reservations are suggested at www.41madison.com.

April 14 is Interior Designer Day hosted by Traditional Home magazine. Senior Style Editor Krissa Rossbund will moderate a panel discussion, “Tabletop:  A Secret Sauce to Bottom Line Success.” Joining the conversation will be top New York interior designers Michael Devine, Katie Leede and Robert Passal.

The breakfast program is scheduled for 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at A Voce, Forty One’s ground-level restaurant. Following, guests can explore and shop the participating showrooms, meet with company executives and see firsthand the newest products and latest trends. Showrooms remain open until 6 p.m.

The Café adjacent to the Buyers Lounge on Level A has been rechristened The Forty One Energy Bar and will be helping show goers refuel with light bites and beverages served daily.
