The Housewares Design Awards, the independent design award competition focused on the housewares industry, is now accepting entries for its 11th annual competition to find the “Best of the Best” in design innovation.
This award has become a housewares tradition, and the Housewares Design Awards All-Stars – the 104 vendors who have won Housewares Design Awards over the years – include some of the most famous brands in the industry as well as entrepreneurial ventures making their mark through design innovation.
Beyond its impact with buyers and other housewares professionals, the Housewares Design Awards is also dedicated to reinforcing consumer awareness of the housewares industry’s innovative, value-added design. Last year’s Housewares Design Awards campaign alone produced more than 1,000 consumer editorial placements, with a combined 140 million circulation. Media coverage has been accelerated through social media and online coverage from blogs to Wikipedia.
The upcoming awards will be announced at a gala luncheon and ceremony on Feb. 4, 2014, in New York, including 12 Best in Category Awards and Best of the Best Awards at the Gold, Silver and Bronze levels. The Green House Design Awards, recognizing eco-responsible design innovation, will also be given out.
The Housewares Design Awards website is a central resource for housewares suppliers, designers, retailers, media and others to learn more about the annual design awards program. It also showcases the Housewares Design Awards All-Stars and provides an in-depth archive of all winners and finalists since the launch of the competition.
Applications for the Housewares Design Awards will be accepted through Oct. 25. All manufacturers and marketers of housewares products are invited to enter designs that have been introduced and made available for consumer purchase in the United States from Oct. 1, 2012, to Sept. 30, 2013.
